what a beautiful clear blue sky...
the sun is shining bright
no clouds to be seen
or a rain drop in sight
it's a perfect day to daydream...

I'm so excited for you to meet my new bear "Hanako" which means 'flower girl' and she is a little daydreamer!! Hanako is approximately 26cm/10.5 inches tall and wears quality Schulte mohair in the loveliest pink colour!! She has strawberry print Japanese fabric footpads which I also love!! Hanako is 5 way jointed using cotter pin joints and have black German glass eyes. I've given her white muzzle with a little light brown embroidered nose. She has big rosy cheeks which stands out beautifully complementing her lovely pink fur. Lots more photos of Hanako can be seen from her webpage and she is now waiting for adoption. Juchi is approximately 15cm/6 inches tall and is 5 way jointed assembled using cotter pin joints. Juchi wears quality dense mohair and in a beautiful rich and bright yellow colour...just a baby chick should be!! :D Juchi has complementing footpads, one made from cutesy Japanese fabric and the other from short dense mohair. Just like Aika, has a felt beak, large German glass eyes and big rosey cheeks. Juchi is filled with heavy polyflock stuffing and his feet and tummy contains lead free steel shots to give him weight and he can sit properly without topping over!! Bubble and Hammond by Kerry...

Dear Jenny,
I have just recently made two of many of your patterns I have purchased from you. Thought it would be nice for you to see Hammond and Bubbles. I haven't been making bears for very long and it seems to take a while for me just to finish one project, although I really enjoy making and collecting bears, my collection is growing slowly. Thankyou so much I just love your patterns and when I finish a few more I'll send some more photos.
Kindest regards

Seasons Greetings "Sam" postcards make great Chrissy cards to send out this Christmas and below are some new JLB postcards to collect or to send to friends or if you're like one self! LOL They're all limited and available now!! :D

a gentle reminder...

One more working day before I head off to take some time out but before I leave I would like to introduce my little "Sookie" to you. "Sookie is created from my Blink pattern and is part of my 'PAST TIMES' collection. She is approximately 23cm/9 inches tall and is 5 way jointed assembled using wobbly joints giving her a wobbly head, wobbly arms and wobbly legs which just dangles when she's being held and cuddled.
Sookie wears very beautiful short dense blue mohair with complementing pink polka dot footpads and inner ears. She is filled with quality pollyflock stuffing and is lovely and soft to touch.
Sookie has a roughly finish dark brown nose and she has small black German glass eyes.
Being a 'Past Times' bear, Sookie have the JENNY LOVES BENNY stamp on one footpad instead of the label on the back. She's such a darling little bear!! :D

it's raining again cont...

woke up this morning and it was nice and bright...without my first cup of tea to start my day, I immediately picked up my camera instead and started snapping away before the dark clouds from the distance reach us. I'm now enjoying my cup of tea and just listing to music, it's windy out and dark clouds have arrived....there's such a lazy Saturday/nostalgic feel to the day which seems so perfect to be writing about my new 'Past Times' bear "Cayenne".
To see more photos of "Cayenne" and for his adoption details, please visit his webpage.

it's raining again...

rain on cafe window Originally uploaded by janetmami
It's been raining all is a good thing really, given that I do like the rain and we do desperately need it due to the drought we've had in the past few years but I'm not a professional photographer and do need a lot of natural sunshine to take photos of my bears!

I waited all day for the sun to shine but dark clouds just loomed above us all day and I was not able to capture a good shot of my new bear "Cayenne". "Cayenne" is another bear created for my 'Past Times''s a sneak peek and hopefully, we'll get some lovely sunshine so I can take some pretty pictures of him :D

Teaching Walter to swim

We always thought Walter could swim...up until recently when he went for a walk...he was so cheeky and not watching where he was going, he walked and fell straight into the lake!! LOL
He was splashing a lot and his head was going under...quick thinking hubby, got down on the ground and reached out to drag him out...unfazed and unshaken, Walter shook off the water and continued on his playful ways!

We thought perhaps he was in shock hence was not able to swim...but we had to make sure so yesterday, it was a marvelous day for the beach and perfect time to see if Walter can indeed swim.

We've been to the beach many times and he was never keen to go into the water like most dogs there. Yesterday was the same, I couldn't coerce him but ended up carrying him into the water. He certainly made a big splash chopping the water with his front paws but he was still slowing sinking. I had to support his tummy to help him float, after the third attempt, he finally got it! :D He's still not keen to get into the water..but at least now knows how to swim! It was a wonderful day and we had so much fun with our 'son'...not sure if Walter did though! tee hee

c'mon Walter...

Walter: no thanks!

Walter: me daddy!

I'll sit here and watch you do it! tee hee

Walter: I'll wait here mummy!

Walter: hehe..silly woman

Walter: nope nope, I'm

Walter: crazy woman, I almost drowned!

yeah..I'm a proud mummy! LOL

mission accomplished! :D

New "Past Times" Collection

I work around 60-70 hours a week on JLB and some weeks, I just hit 'the wall', not literally (not all the time..tee hee). My mind draws a blank and all the creations I had stored in my head disappears in a poof! This was one of those weeks and going through my earlier designs always helps me to get back some of that inspiration lost...from that, I'll like to introduce to you my newest bear "Pepper". "Pepper" is a recreation from my Rocco pattern. "Pepper" will be part of my new collection 'Past Times'. My 'Past Times' bears are designed to capture that 'past times' look, using the combination of mohair and my favourite Japanese linen. They will also have the JENNY LOVES BENNY stamped on one footpad instead of the label on the back. I hope you will enjoy my new collection! :D
