It's all so Peachi!!

Please meet my little chickadee chick "Peachi" whom has been in the making for the past 3 weeks. Life's been very busy with Daniel and any time I get to sew is a premium! It will take me longer but I will still be sewing and create new bears when I can.
"Peachi" will be my last bear for the year as Christmas is fast approaching and time for me to get ready and plan for Daniel's first Christmas! :D

Peachi is now looking for a new home, please visit my shop for more photos of Peachi and adoption details.  It's a lovely cool Summer's day in Melbourne and certainly the feeling of Christmas is in the air...Hope you're having a great day wherever you are :D

❤ Walter's garden ❤

ahh....I just LOVE Spring time.  The gardens are full of colour with flowers in full bloom and sweet scents of their perfume in the air.  Though I've never been a big fan of petunias, because I have to replace them each year, mum convinced me that these cascading petunia's (which she potted) would look fabulous on my balcony once they are in full bloom.  Each year, it's been such a struggle to grow anything on my balcony, too hot, too sunny, too windy...and for me too much work! tee hee.  I'm what my mum would call a lazy gardener, someone who wants their garden to look nice, expect plants to just grow like 'now' without having to put in the hard work. and no patients!  "But to make anything beautiful, one must put in the hard work and have patients" explains old wise one! ;P
Of course, not always but in this instance, she was right.  It was her hard work and guidance that these flowers are looking so beautiful.  I do love how the cascade of petunia's make me feel every time I set my eyes upon them.   It's relaxing and they make me happy but also with a tinge of sadness and heavy heart. I only wished my Walter was still with us as I'd wanted to create a beautiful balcony garden for him.  My balcony garden is still not complete but I know he would have loved it the way it is now...

❤ 2012 JLB Calendar ❤

JLB is getting ready for 2012.  This year has gone by so quickly I thought I'll get a head start to 2012 by creating the year's JLB calendar! :D

Each month features a different bear selected from my favourite picks. Calendar measures A4 size.
Simply print, punch a holes on the top and tie with ribbon to hang or just print each month, tack up on your cork board or attach to fridge.  Print as many as you like and give one to every one on your list! A great stocking stuffer!

Comes in PDF or hard copy format.  You can order your JLB calendar from my Etsy shop, here or my website.  Hope 2012 will be a great year for you! :D

Sweet Peek of the week from Confessions of the Cupcake Countessa!

Jennylovesbenny is currently being featured by the Cupcake Countessa!!!
The Cupcake Countessa believes that we are all created from the same mold, like a muffin tin.  Though we may grow at different rates, come in array of flavors and be presented in our own unique package, our core ingredients remain the same.  This blog is one of self discovery and acceptance, of loving one's self and being true to your heart no matter what packaging you display to the world.  For what is a cupcake but a muffin in a party dress?

Please pop on over to "Confessions of the Cupcake Countessa", it's such a delightful blog and you can also get a chance to win Melody's epattern in her blog giveaway! :D

Monday, 31 October 2011

It's been a busy October but not much sewing as you might have noticed hence no photos of new bears for my monthly wallpaper download.  Instead, I had the pleasure of going through my old creations and found this pair which I'd custom made for a lovely lady who wanted a bear to represent each of her family member.  This pair represented her daughter hugging her baby brother Tristan :D  I do love this photo and thought they would make a lovely wallpaper for November! I hope you like it too.  It is now ready for download, just click here.
Have a great month ahead!! :D

Artist revealed and the WINNERS are...

For many years, I've been asked to provide a photo of myself for bear magazines and also by some of my followers however,  though I do love to take photos and especially ones of my bears, I am rather VERY camera shy.  Just recently,  I was asked to submit a mini interview with the Teddy Bear Review magazine for their salute to "Artists of the Pacific Rim" article which features Bear Artist in Asia Pacific and a photo of oneself was required.  Since I decided to send a photo to the Teddy Bear Review magazine, I figured it was time to show myself so here I am..."Hello World!!" :D

I would like to THANK YOU all for the birthday wishes, for entering my blog giveaway and for your beautiful comments.  I'm so thrilled to announce the 3 winners....

Yap, our little girl is growing up and fast! can you believe it? I still pinch myself from time to time to make sure I'm not having a long dream! LOL
The best part of having a birthday is the cake, and birthdays are one of the many occasions where I can scoff it down with absolute no guilt! (@^-^@)

The other exciting part of birthdays are of course the presents and to celebrate Jennylovesbenny turning 8, I'm having a blog giveaway!

There will be three draws...

To enter, just leave a comment on this post during the next 10 days and you'll be automatically entered in the draw, starting with this post and ending Tuesday the 25th of October.
Please leave one comment and tell me what you think makes Jennylovesbenny bears so memorable! :))

I will be using randome.org to generate a number to pick the three winners. The winners will be revealed later that day.
