Waiting for you - 4x6 diorama photo
TITLE: Waiting for you

DH used to leave me little notes and messages around the house for me to find when we were both working in the office. He's usually off to work before I wake and there was just never enough time in the day to be was always a lovely surprise to come across a post-it note or scrap paper as I wandered through the house going about my usual routine.
I imagine now DH leaving me a note on this photo for me on my mirror while I'm getting ready for a great night out! hehe...definitely nicer than post-its but hey, I'm not complaining...haven't got one of those in a looooooooong time! DH, if you're reading this...hint hint ^_^

more bears are coming....

I know the shop is looking very depleted of bears lately and that's because I've been busy with custom orders. Thank you all for participating in my poll and this week, I'll be creating more anime bears, chickadees, elephants and keyrings as that was what most of you selected. Tonight, I'm going to take a short break as DH is taking me to see Harry Potter! yeah! Have a great day everyone!! ^_^

Miss August 2009 was a close call between Momoko, Celeste and Claudine this month for Miss August 2009 but Momoko won with her big rosy cheeks and cute little freckles :D
Momoko's August wallpaper is now ready for download, just click here! Hope you like what I've chosen this month! ^_^

Bella Bella Bella

Besides have a good time last night, I did manage to do some work during the day!! :D
Please allow me to introduce to you "Bella"! She's a sweet girly bear made from beautiful thick wavey kid mohair. The most luxurious coat for a bear and ever soft to touch! It is because of this beautiful mohair that has been the inspiration for this bear.
"Bella" is now available for adoption from my shop
You can also make your own Bella, she is created from my Petal's pattern and I've used peach candy floss kid mohair from my mohair shop. If you like a complete kit made up for you, just drop me a mail :D

Wickedly Good!!

I finally managed to convince DH to take me and yesterday I had an amazing evening going to see "Wicked" the musical despite the rain getting there and back! It was held at the beautiful Regent Theatre and I must say, it is definitely one of the most beautiful theatres in Melbourne I've been to and Wicked was one of the best musicals I've seen. All the glitter!! :D
It's ending in Melbourne soon but if you've not had the chance to see it yet and it's coming to your city, it's so well worth going! I'm still on a high and don't think I'm back from Oz yet! lol

oh yes, I wore my new purple glitter 'Dorothy' shoes for the occasion! :D

A BIG anime bear..and a small one too!

A while back I had a request to make large anime bears and this weekend I finally got around to it! Please meet Asuka my first large anime bear and her 'mini-me' Asumi! hehe
Asuka is 16cm/6.5inches tall and a very nice size for a good cuddle and to carry. Asuka and Asumi are sold separately and more large anime bears will be in the making :D
As you know 'mini-me' Asumi is created from my Sugar pattern therefore, if you already have the pattern you can make your own Asuka by increasing the pattern to 125% on your printer setting. You will need 12mm black glass eyes and use 15mm cotter pin joints.
The large anime bear pattern will be available from my website in the next few days and the pattern will include Asuka's teddy bear hat also. As requested, now you can get bigger hugs! ^_^
Asuka and Asumi are now available for adoption from my shop!

playing dress up!

Since we've been cooped up inside due to the rain and cold, Claudine and I decided to play dress up! Claudine automatically decided to be a ballerina/fairy/angel! I even got out my Christmas lights and hung them along the window seal, it was a lot of fun despite the rain pouring down the windows, in fact, it was a lovely site and certainly picked up our moods! :D
Claudine is ready for a new home and is now available for adoption from my shop, please don't forget to refresh your browser! :-)

One Lovely Blog Award for me!! :D

awww...I received this lovely blog from Ming of "Small Dynasty" whom I've been so lucky to have meet through the world of bears :D

This blog entails the following Q and A which I think this is great and allows us to get to know the blogger just a little bit better.

Here are the questions and my answers:

What is your current obsession?
I was thinking hard about this and when I said it out loud, DH answered "Bejeweled Blitz"! LOL He knows me better than my self sometimes.

What is your horoscope and do you relate to it? Capricorn...
According to this is me ~
Few people are as practical and ambitious as Capricorn. Yours is the tenth sign, an earthy element, which makes you down to earth and matter-of-fact. Caution is your second name and this is due to Saturn, your ruling planet. You are sometimes shy and lack self confidence and self-esteem. I agree with the shy part but if you saw my shoe blog just a few days a go, I wouldn't say I was lacking in self confidence or self-esteem! ehhe

I've never met a Capricorn who was afraid of hard work in order which to achieve what they want in life. You are ambitious and go for your dreams and usually end up successful. You like money but not if it involves risk. You prefer to know exactly where your dollars and cents are going. You prefer traditional types of savings. True true true...I do feel that I'm a hard worker, whether I work for a company or myself, I try hard to do a good job and this always always means working long hours.

Others do not generally see you as too enthusiastic but when people get to know you, you do have a side to your nature which is humorous and affectionate. You like to work quietly and effectively without creating too much bother or attention to yourself. Scored again!!

You are emotionally cool so you don't warm to people that easily until you get to know them. Once you get closer you start to feel comfortable with them. Suspicion is one of the chief traits of Capricorn and when you meet people for the first time it is your way of displaying maturity by not jumping the gun. You like to understand what another person is really about. wow! this sight is good! hehe

You are a big thinker even though you work methodically and practically by taking your time to achieve what you set out to do. You never like airy, fairy concepts and only work on ideas which will vouch safe your financial and material security in the future. You are not a clock watcher when you work because you believe in doing a job right the first time round. You also hate wasting time. You are frugal, resourceful and hard working. Commitment is natural to you which is why, as I said earlier, you are likely to be successful in anything you attempt. hey, I just said that above didn't I? Well I guess it's all true then! LOL

What are you wearing today?
black leggings, singlet, layered with a plain long sleeve top, layered with a hooded tracksuit top and long thick knee high socks! hmmm...sounds sexy I know! NOT! haha

What was the last thing you bought?
shoes, shoes and shoes...yap 3 pairs! they were on sale! :D

What do you think about the person who tagged you?
Ming is wonderful!! A truly lovely person whom I had the pleasure of meeting when I visited the Taiwan Teddy Fair in November. Ming is warm, sincere, funny and full of energy. She has a bubbly character and I'm honored to have her as my friend.

A guilty pleasure?
Sleeping in and getting up just before midday...I love my sleep! :D

What is your must have item for Summer?
Lychee ice-cream from trampoline..yum yums

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would it be?
Soaking in the hot pool of the Blue Lagoon (Iceland)

What is your favourite piece of clothing from your closet?
My wedding dress.

What is your dream job?
Being the designer and creator of jennylovesbenny :D

What do you consider a Fashion faux pas?
Skinny jeans with low/baggy crotch makes me cringe EVERY TIME!

Describe your personal style?
Simple, elegant, classic but also fun, cute, happy and colourful.

What are you going to do after this?
Play Bejeweled Blitz! lol

What are your favorite past-times and hobbies?
Eating, sleeping, reading, watching movies, play my piano...and make my bears.

What are you proud of?
My husband for having courage to give up what is easy and pursue his dream despite the many challenges along the way...and for giving me the courage and inspiration to do the same.

Have you got pets at home?
Walter, our recently turned 4 y.o King Charles Cavalier x pug who is just the best, keep us in great company and brings so much joy to our lives.

Now it's my turn to pass the blog on to and I'm delighted to pass this to:

Aran of Cannelle et Vanille
Nicky of The Vintage Magpie
Sherry of Y0omii
Isabel of Rosa e Chocolate
Magda of CraftPudding

Have a great weekend :D

it's raining again

It's been raining all week and I've been staying indoors to keep warm and I sit by my window and make my little bear...
I've just finished this little girl and took a picture of her looking out the window like I do..waiting for the rain to subside so that I can go to the post office to make my last postal run before the weekend.
This picture really depicts my mood the rain and cold has was enjoyable for the first few days but this weather is starting to get me wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't soooooo cold!!! brrrrrrrr
