Sponsor: Jenny's Tea Party!

Only 1 day, 6 hours and 1 minute to go before my long walk!! I'm very excited about it but at the same time, can't wait to get it over and done with!! :D The team and I walked 40km a couple of weeks ago and into the night during the last couple of hours. Let me say, I didn't like walking in the dark especially through the steep up hill slopes of the rain forest with the fern and tree branches smacking me in the face from my fellow team member walking in front of me! hehe
I think I fair pretty well after 40kms with only my little toe blistered like a red grape and my right heal blistered like no pediatrics would like to touch!! LOL Having said that 40km is far from the 100km which we're about to test our walking sticks with but we will certainly do our very best to finish. Just before the big day, I must thank all my family, friends and customers who has made a donation. Thank you so much Heather (my No.1 fan) for sponsoring me with her newly created "Jenny's Tea Party" Facebook page. "Jenny's Tea Party" is Heather's own collection of JLB bears. It's such a delightful place to be with lots of gorgeous photos taken by Heather herself. Best of all, it is open to everyone so please pop on by to "Jenny's Tea Party" and join in the fun! :D

This year, my friends (Tisha, Rachel, Ben) and I have signed up for the 2012 Oxfam Trailwalker challenge. Our aim is to complete the 100km walk within 48 hours and also raise $5000 for the Oxfam charity. Please help support me and my friends by donating as much or little as you can. Just visit our teampage below which we be updated as we meet and train. Any amount over $2 is tax deductible. Our Team number is 105 and our name is "Proving Them Wrong" but it soon shall be ...

"OMG What did I get myself into!" heck, we might not be able to prove anyone wrong but you can be assured we will do our darnedest!!

To also help raise money for our team, I'm offering a space on my blog to advertise your banner/logo for just $25 and for $50 you will also get a featured blog post. The logo will be on the side bar as you can see on the right. It will be put up once sponsorship money is received until the end of the walk date 23rd of April.

What do your sponsorship mean to people need?
$20 is enough to buy a blackboard, improving the quality of education in a poor community in Cambodia.

$50 is enough for a Sri Lankan community to grow and nurture a sustainable, communal vegetable garden.

$80 can help pay for a women's crisis centre in Papua New Guinea, providing vulnerable women and their children with a safe place.

$110 can provide training for a Malawian farmer in new techniques that helps make the land more productive. For many more examples visit the Oxfam Australia website at

This space is for everyone and not just bear artists...if you have a business or just a website or blog to promote. Sponsorship money can be debited directly into the Oxfam account through my team page

If you would be interested in becoming a sponsor, just email me for more details. Please pass this on to anyone you think may be interested. Thanking you in advance and please wish us luck! :D
