Please meet my latest Angel "Hail" named after the hail storm Melbourne experienced just a couple of weeks ago. Hail is not really an Angel but she likes to dress up as an Angel and her wings can be easily be detached and attached. Hail wears a gold heart locket around her neck so that you can put her name and contact details inside, just in case she ever loses her way! :D
Hail is now looking for a new home. For more photos of "Hail" and for adoption details, please click here. Thank you for stopping by!

Poor Olivia has been lying around in pieces for weeks because I've been so distracted with custom orders. Thankfully, there was just enough natural sunlight for me to take photos of her and she's just been listing on my website. For photos and adoption details, please visit my website here. I hope you like her too! :D

With Easter just a couple of weeks away, there's been an outbreak in the JLB studio. No...not chocolate eggs which would be lovely too but I can't show you just yet so please stay tuned!

I'll be away...

Japan/Tokyo/ Uéno Garden Path under the Blossom
Originally uploaded by dany13

Japan is famous for its cherry blossoms. In Spring, the gardens turn pink as the river banks are lined with soft pink cherry blossoms and the air is filled with petals that gently fall to the ground and cover the footpaths.

Cherry Blossoms gives me so much inspiration in my life and I can't help but feel extremely happy every time I'm surrounded by them. Having the petals falling on my face is like a cure for my wrinkles!! LOL...all my worries just melts away and in that short moment I'm in total bliss. It's also a reminder of how amazing nature is and to me, how much more beautiful the world is when filled with cherry blossoms...What more can I say but "I LOVE CHERRY BLOSSOMS!!!" :D

In the next two weeks, I'll be taking a little break and will be traveling to Japan, in hope of seeing the cherry blossoms. Seeing the cherry blossoms in full bloom can be quite a challenge if your not living in Japan unless you're prepared for a longer stay or are prepared to drop every thing in short notice and catch the last minute flight out as soon as you hear they are in full bloom.

A couple of my friends are also going on a Japan cherry blossom trip. They started planning a month ago and had trouble booking their accommodation as all the twin share/double rooms were fully booked! They have been to Japan many many times and have yet to see the cherry blossoms but this time, they're pretty determined. They've been checking Japan's weather forecast daily and told me just last week that it is snowing!!! :O

In the past 5 years, DH and I has visited Japan three times during late March and early April, hoping we'll see the blossoms in full bloom but each time, we just miss it! I'm very thankful and am happy to have had the 'Sakura mini' experience but I'm very much hoping the weather in Tokyo will warm up so that I'll be able to have this wonderful experience with my DH! Fingers crossed please!!!!

I'll be away from the 3rd of April till the 12th of April. During this time, I will also be shopping for gorgeous Japanese fabrics, cutesy accessories and buttons.

I'll be processing orders right up until the 2nd of April. Any orders with payment after the 2nd of April will be processed upon my return on the 13th of April. I will be taking my laptop with me and will try to log in as often as possible however, there may be limited internet access so please pardon me if I don't reply to your emails promptly. If that should happen, I will log on and check my mail as soon as I return home.

oh yes! Don't worry Walter, mummy will bring back lots of treats for you and Benny! :D

girlfriends..

Have been flat out with custom orders lately which is why the shop is a little low on new comers. I thought I'll share with you what I've been working on in the past week also. This group of girls are not quite finish yet, they're waiting on another girlfriend to be completed so she too can join them. The trio is created especially for a new bear shop opening in Singapore named "A Bear Place" which will be located at the Central. More pics will be available once I have the three girls sitting together =D

not just another weekend in Melbourne...

Over the weekend, Melbourne experienced a raging storm, the largest recorded in Melbourne's history...it started with a little rain, some hail stones, follow by large hail stones then floods, all within minutes as you can see on this video. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt! Family and friends are all fine except for their damaged roofs, cars, satellite dish and my lovingly nurtured plants all took a good beating. Frightening and amazing at the same time!!!
