**: Sofie :**

Hi All, I hope you've had a great week.
This week, I've had so much fun making this white chickadee. My little boy Daniel is so smitten by her, he didn't want to let her go and so, I gave him the pleasure of naming her...and "Sofie" it was to be! :)
Sofie was a custom order, this is the second white chickadee I've made and I do like how the blush on her cheeks really stands out against the white.

Sofie has now gone to live with her new mummy along with Sakura.  Thank you for your emails asking about Sofie and I'll be more than happy to do a custom white chickadee for you. Just drop me an email. :)

I always like to pack up and tidy my desk after each bear or project and give myself a fresh start! Always gives me a good feel and I get all inspired looking through my fabrics whilst putting them away...well, I was folding my collection of fabrics and am now really inspired by a recent purchase..here's a sneak peek of what is next to come.

Until next week, hope you have a great weekend!! :D

It's Sakura time...

It seems like everyone I know is in Japan for the Cherry Blossom season at the moment...ahh but I can only dream of floating petals upon my face, in the cold, wrapped up in my large warm knitted scarf, be showered by them as the wind change directions...

One day, I shall bring my little boy to experience this wonderful phenomenon of cherry blossoms in Japan but for now, my cherry blossom dreams were all placed inside this little bunny whom I've named "Sakura" of course! :)

Please meet my latest JLB baby "Sakura", created from my Tipady pattern.

Instead of using straight pile mohair, I decided to experiment with this beautiful white wavy thick pile mohair instead and I must say, I do like how she has turned out :)
Along with her pink inner poker dot ears and this pink dress made from vintage fabric passed down to me from my mum whom had had it forever when she used to sew at a young age,  "Sakura" to me is the image of cherry blossoms.

I hope you like her :)

Sakura has now been adopted.  Thank you for stopping by!

It must be Easter Chickadee fever...

I'm certain it was the full moon that kept me wide awake till 3am the other night..no..I'm not a werewolf ..I think.  Well, not that I'm aware of..no hairy back the last time I checked but hubby night beg to differ! lol! :P

I seem to be at my most creative state when I can't sleep..so burning the mid-night oil, I started to create my new Chickadee "Mai".

...and I made her a party dress

...

"Mai" is created from Japanese felted mohair. I love working with this fabric, it's just lovely and soft.
Thank you to everyone who messaged and liked my FB post for "Mai", she has now found a new home and will be joining her new mummy shortly.

No full moon tonight but I'm feeling very inspired again after being absent for so long...will give you a little peek of my next JLB baby tomorrow when I can take some pics in the morning.

good night!
