💋 A new Journey - Part 2

I've grown so fond of these little girls which has brought me on to a new journey of creating my own collection of custom Blythe dolls.

A while back, I got myself this little sweetie.  I chose her for her gorgeous long brown hair and pretty face.

It was very daunting at first after the sanding, I must say, it took me a while to gather up my courage to start carving.   Here is my progress so far...

still lots of sanding and smoothing here but I think I'm pretty happy with her shape.  Totally different to what I had tried to do but it will have to do.  I'm afraid I might over do it and my girl will have no face at all..

Now this is where my "box of candy" comes out for a worthy piece of work ( I hope! ).

Below: Spoilt for colours, her face and brows are done.

ta da!  I haven't quite gotten round to creating my eye chips for her yet but I found these beautiful eye chips from the lovely Ana of BlytheEvolution, you can check out her shop here:

I need to get some Tamiya gloss paint for her lips, make some nice pull strings and then I can put her together.  I'm pretty happy with my first attempt. 😊

EEEEEEeeeeeee...can't contain my excitement!! Can't wait to have my own FIRST little non-furry girl! 💋

Thank you to all Blythe artists for your tips and tutorials on how to customise Blythes, I need all the help I can get and your expertise advice really helped! Looking forward to join your dolly world!

💋 A new Journey - Part 1

Once upon a time, a very long time ago, there was a little girl who loved to draw. She loved her colour pencils, colouring and making paper dolls to play.  As she grew, her studies became more important, so she traded in her little box of pencils for text books instead.

Many many years later, this little girl grew up and went to work in the UK.
On her travels, she visited the "Cumberland Pencil Museum".  It was like visiting a candy shop for her and she was once again a little girl...

In the Museum, she came across this wonderful box...she wasn't sure if she'll ever use it as it's been an awfully long time since she last put pencil to paper but nevertheless, not getting it was like walking out of a candy store without a candy! here I am with my box of CANDY!! 😝

It did take a while before this box of water colour pencils was put to a good use.  This was tucked away in my cupboard, still sealed in it's original box since it arrived from the UK.  I have coloured and drawn since however, nothing I did was worthy of breaking open this box until now..

I knew these had a purpose!

As soon as I said her name to Daniel "TICKADY", we both said "YEAH" at the same time! ..and so please meet my latest bunny TICKADY!

I'm having so much fun with the Alice in Wonderland Theme,  it's all so colourful, wacky and DELICIOUS!  Just makes me really really happy.  I hope it does you too! 😊

TICKADY is a new design, though she has Tipady's features, this bunny has longer legs and shorter ears.  TICKADY wears a lovely soft light brown sparse mohair with a white muzzle.  She has pink bunny nose and a red mouth.  Her inner ears are pink.   I've used sassy mohair which is lovely and soft.  I've also given her big pink rosey cheeks.

Dressing her up was definitely one of the funnest part for me.  I had so much fun making TICKADY'S dress.  I've kept it to a pillowcase dress as part of the JennyLovesBenny signature outfit for my bears but I've added a bit of the "Alice" touch!  She comes with her gorgeous head piece created by the lovely Yuri from HakoniwaDolls.

TICKADY is now ready for adoption, for details, please hope on over to my Etsy shop at:

Thank you always for stopping by and I hope you're enjoying your long weekend.

Have you gone mad yet? ⏳🗝🎀

TICK TOCK! TICK TOCK! What a buzz "Alice Through the Looking Glass" is creating!!  It certainly is in this household!  I've even taken out all my cups and saucers which I've collected over the years, gave them a good clean since they've been locked away for goodness how long.  We're getting ready for a JennyLovesBenny Tea party just because we're all going mad!! LOL

Despite going mad, I have been working on a new Bunny as mentioned in my last post.  Inspired by the Alice theme, she's a new design and here is a little sneak peek of my work in progress.  I can't wait to put her all together and dress her up!  Fingers crossed I will have her finished in the next couple of days...

If you are in the UK at the moment ( Luck you! ), you must head to Fortnum and Mason.  They've decked out the store with looking glasses, butterflies, roses, teapots, Alice, the whole works!! What a treat!! eeeeeeeee!  Remember to take plenty of photos in your state of awe! 😆

Wallpaper for your PCs anyone?

Hi All,

You've probably noticed I've been extremely time poor these past few years that I've totally neglected the JLB monthly Wallpaper for you.  In truth, I wasn't sure if many or anyone was using it also until I saw this... 🤗

What a delightful surprise it was for me when one of you lovelies sent me a photo of your PC at work even though we are waaaaaay past December.   Apparently it was a bit of a stress relief at work and it makes her smile! That to me was just precious and so I decided to continue doing my JLB calendar wallpapers, even if it makes a small different to someone out there. I hope it helps to brighten your day, even if it's just a little. 🙂

Being the first of the month today,  I figure what better time to start so tonight, I created this calendar wallpaper.  It's one of my favourite pics taken with my Jenny Bear at the Lavendula Farm in Daylesford. It includes the months of June, July and August but will change it as often as time permits, promise!  I hope you like it.

Just click on the photo and download.
