another award for us! :D

Have just received this from Kelly of "Yesterday's Glitter" who also created this lovely award.

Kelly wrote: "The Works Of Heart award is for people who put their heart and soul into their work, their words and/or their kindness to others." ....I'm so delighted and humbled to have received this. Thank you Kelly!!

Kelly states that people who receive this award may feel free to pass it on to two more people if they so choose so I would like to firstly past this back to Kelly. I haven't had a pleasure of knowing Kelly for long but from the work and energy she puts into the bear artist groups it's obvious to me she's poured her heart and soul into it!!

I would also like to pass this award to Bonnie of Cumai Bears who is relatively new to the blogging world but her "Meet Pan Pan" blog just melted my heart! Well done Bonnie!! :D

I have no doubt this award will be widely passed around, I don't think I've met a bear artist yet who hasn't/doesn't put their heart and soul into their darling bruins!! :D

restocked!!

A new batch of mohair have just arrived and Pepper's complete kit is now available!! :D

Gise’le

It's been a while since I've made a bear from my Petal's pattern and I've been meaning to for a while ever since I purchased this beautiful piece of mohair...and then I forgot about it after I'd packed it away with the rest of my stash. A few days ago, I remembered again and got out the mohair and placed it on my desk so that it is constantly in my view. There is always a design in mind to make but just never enough time to create them before I either have forgotten about them or have lost inspiration for them. Therefore most times the designs I had stored in my head never comes to life because by the time I've finished with a bear, another inspiration pops up and most times than not my designs are driven by inspiration rather than creation itself...if that make sense!?

This bear has been on my mind for a few months now and I'm glad and surprised that the inspiration to create her didn't get lost amongst the inspirations of my new designs.
Please allow me to introduce to you "Gise’le"! She's a sweet girly bear made from beautiful long wavey sparse mohair which was hand dyed in a very soft gentle blue colour. It is because of this beautiful mohair that has been the inspiration.

Gise’le is approximately 28cm/11 inches tall. She is 5 way jointed using cotter pin joints and have large black German glass eyes. I've given her a dark brown embroidered nose and is filled with quality polyflock stuffing. She's a medium size bear.

Gise’le is now available from my website :D

My first Blog award!

I must admit, I was very reluctant to start a blog when blogging was 'THE" new thing. There is always something new in the www.com world and never enough time to "jump on that new band wagon" that so often comes along. Am glad to have made the decision to create a blog for jennylovesbenny and I've not been able to stop blogging since as you can see! lol It's like another addiction to my exisiting bear making addiction but it now comes hand in hand.

This morning, I was so delighted to find a lovely message in my mailbox and am flattered to have received the "PROXIMIDADE" from Ginger Brame a fellow bear artist from North Carolina in the US! Thank you Ginger, it's a pleasure to meet you and I'm glad you enjoy visiting my blog. Here's a link to Ginger's blog.

Kuniko in a kimono

I know I won't be satisfied until I make a proper kimono for my bears and since I'd already gone out and purchased a stack of beautiful kimono fabric just sitting there in front of me, I couldn't help myself but just had to do something about it and to 'scratch that itch'! tee hee ...so the past few nights I've been burning the midnight oil till 2am making my new bear and sewing the kimono...most of it by hand! Please meet my lastest kimono girl "Kuniko". Kuniko is a simple and humble little girl who just likes to hang out and go shopping with her friends. :D

Kuniko's kimono is made from a traditional kimono fabric and I've line the inside. Kuniko wouldn't be complete without a little bag to go shopping with so using the same fabric and to match her her obi (belt), I created a little Japanese bag for her to carry.
Kuniko is now available for adoption directly from my website.

Orifiel - Angel of the forest

Please meet my Angel of the Forest "Orifiel"...she's very proud of her her beautiful feathered wings! I wanted to keep this design to be simple so that her lovely wings are the main features.
So wearing only her birthday suit and a pair of beautiful wings, I've given her a gold heart locket to wear around her neck so that she can keep her name and contact details inside in case she ever loses her way! :-) Orifiel is now living in Phoenix, US. looking for a new home and she can be adopted directly from my website

there must be angels...

When I was a little girl I asked my mum to take me on a plane ride because "All my life I've never been on a plane!" I was 6 y.o at the time!LOL

Mum was a star and brought me on a domestic flight for my first airplane experience! I was so excited about it but the excitement quickly turned to great disappointment! I so desperately wanted to fly because I had thought above the clouds was where fairies and angels lived. I thought fairies travelled on clouds and I would get to see them in their beautiful clothes and their magical world...but to my shock, there was only a mass of white clouds and there was nothing there! My magical world above the clouds was empty and no one was home :(
So at a very young age I discovered that fairies and angels don't live above the clouds, they live in enchanted forests instead! :D

For at least a year now I've wanted to create an Angel bear but it's only recently I found this beautiful pair of angel wings. I'm currently in the design phase, hopefully my bear will earn her wings! :D
