lids tell the story...

The past couple of months, I've been slowing working on my second girl for 2018.  A lot of time is spent on waiting, waiting for paint to dry and waiting for items to arrive.  

I have to say, my favourite part of customising dolls is decorating the eye lids.  I'm so LOVING it!  I think each lid can tell a story and that's what I like use to create the theme for my girls.  

I recently created these eye lids (above) and I have to say they turned out better than I'd hoped.  Yesterday, I was able to finish the face on my girl and again, it's very exciting when I place the lids in to see how it fits.  I was a little unsure about the pink hair as I was going for the forest theme with Bambi and the rabbit and initially was going to give her brown or blonde hair however, I think the pink works really well in this instance! Here is a snippet of what I've done so far..    

I don't have a name for this girl yet and she's not quite ready for adoption.  I'm yet to finish her outfit and little bits and pieces to finish her look.   I'm really happy with how she's turned out so far and hopefully will have her finished by the end of the week if not sooner.  If you have a name for her, your suggestions are most welcomed! :D
